David Guidice
Dave Guidice, a triple threat: pianist, singer and actor was born and raised in Rochester, New York. He is a graduate of the Eastman School of Music with a Bachelors Degree in Jazz Piano Performance and Contemporary Media and is a two-time consecutive winner, in 2002 and 2003, of DownBeat Magazine.s Student Music Awards. He has been performing since he was 5 years old and started playing music by ear on his grandfather's upright piano. While performing extensively in Rochester New York, Dave moved to New York City after college to star in his first off-Broadway debut in "Our Sinatra" which played at Birdland, one of the most prestigious jazz clubs in the world. In 2005 he finished 2nd runner up at the first Young Artist Vocal Competition held in the famous Oak Room at the Algonquin Hotel in New York City. In 2006 Dave decided to relocate to Lubbock Texas. Since making the move, he has been pursuing his entertainment career full-time. While continuing to hone in on his craft and expand his repertoire, he is currently a featured performer at the Cactus Theater (www.cactustheater.com) and has quickly become a Cactus Favorite receiving standing ovations for his tributes to the music of Billy Joel, Frank Sinatra, Elton John and Paul McCartney. He recently starred in the role of "Franck," in the play, "Father of the Bride", "Vinny" in the play "Odd Couple", "Dennis" in "Smoke On The Mountain Homecoming" and Mable (one of the Swindle Sisters) in "Radio Gals." He also teaches piano and voice at Terri Caldwell Music and although Dave's roots are up North, he's having a blast here in the Lone Star State and looks forward to what the future holds.
