MIKE MORGAN

Mike Morgan began his stage career at the age of seventeen performing the role of Sky Masterson in the Monterey High School production of "Guys & Dolls". He went on to Texas Tech where he majored in vocal performance and performed leading roles in over 12 productions of opera, operetta and musical comedy. In 1982 he was a regional finalist in the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions. Mike lived in New York from 1982 to 1991 where he performed as soloist with many groups including the State University of New York Symphony, New York Choral Society and Christ Church United Methodist Church. Since his return to Lubbock, he has continued to perform with many organizations including the Lubbock Symphony Orchestra, First United Methodist Church (Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, The King and I, The Music Man, Annie Get Your Gun), Lubbock Community Theatre (John Adams in 1776), the Garza Theatre in Post (Sleuth, Noises Off, Little Women), Cactus Theater (Heavenly Country, Smoke on the Mountain, Sanders Family Christmas, The Sound of Music, The Odd Couple) and Lubbock Moonlight Musicals (Oklahoma!).
