Jeff Bailey

Jeff is a versatile entertainer, and singer with the ability to take most any song and make it his own- whether it is gospel, pop, country, or rock and roll. From Elvis and Orbison to George Strait and Vince Gill, Jeff can master the style. Jeff is also in love with the theater. He has been fortunate to play a variety of roles in musicals as well as regular theater since elementary school. In 1996 Jeff portrayed NORMAN PETTY, in Buddy-The Buddy Holly Story at the Cactus Theater. In 2002, Jeff portrayed SGT. LARRY WARFORD, in Lubbock playwright Phil Price’s USO 1969. In 1998, Jeff was Nominated Best Male Vocalist in Country, Rock, and R&B at South Plains College in Levelland, Texas.

Jeff called the Cactus Theater home for eight years. As a solo artist, he had six headlining concerts called "Girls Nite Out", selling out most of these shows. As the tenor in the Cactus’ very own "JD’s", he shared the stage and the laughs in a doo wop style show with Donnie Allison and Jason Fellers, recalling the Nostalgia of the 50's and 60's. Both as a JD and as a solo artist, Jeff cut his teeth in Caldwell Studios, recording 2 CD's. Jeff left Lubbock for Nashville in 2004. He spent two years in Nashville, making industry contacts and writing songs with his new friend and songwriting partner Scott Hunt. There has been a buzz of interest in Nashville in a few of the songs they wrote together. Since his return to Lubbock in September of 2006, Jeff seems to have picked up where he left off with the Cactus Family.
