Van Chapman
 Van Chapman was born in Dallas, TX, but was raised in Lubbock. Van has always enjoyed singing and started out as first chair soprano in his elementary school choir. He is a graduate of Estacado High School and received a degree from Texas Tech University in a little over three years. Van has been involved in the Christian music ministry for years. He was a worship leader for Hill Country Bible Church in Austin, TX, he played in the Christian rock band Leaving Simon, and was one of the founding members of the annual Rise Up Christian Musical Festival in Austin. Since moving back to Lubbock, Van has been playing solo shows at several clubs and was the Lubbock "Idol" this year. Van made his debut in the Cactus Theater’s "New Performers Showcase" and is thrilled to be playing along side the wonderful performers he remembers from growing up in Lubbock. He is currently planning a CD project which he will record at Caldwell Studios in the coming year. |
